Australia's FIRST Dual Qualification for the Pet Industry
Theory - Self Paced (online study)
Practical - 4 weeks at the Academy (or workplace *)
Dentos Pet Stylist Academy has uniquely embarked on developing a comprehensive course that will provide its students with a quality education. Our training program produces distinctive graduates who are able to balance essential and specialized grooming skills with a broad knowledge across the animal industry.
What is a DUAL Qualification?
A dual qualification is a nationally recognised course which combines two certificates into the one comprehensive course.
A dual qualification is designed to be studied in a shorter period of time than completing two separate qualifications, and at a reduced cost, with no loss in quality. Upon completion of the dual qualification you will receive two separate nationally accredited certificates.
What are the benefits of a DUAL Qualification?
• Obtaining two qualifications for no extra study
• Obtaining two qualifications in related areas instead of one
• Being a standout for a job interview by having two qualifications instead of one
• Employers are looking for staff that can do more with less
• You won’t have to pay for two separate courses
Students concentrate on basic pet grooming of dogs, including brushing, combing, clipping nails, cleaning ears, bathing, drying techniques, clippering and scissor finishing techniques as well as proper pattern setting for various breeds.
Emphasis is placed on perfecting grooming skills while concentrating on proper breed profile, increasing speed and efficiency while developing maximum grooming potential. The bulk of this training program is spent practicing and perfecting skills with pets under the guidance of trainers in the Pet Stylist Academy training centre.
* For those working in the industry, workplace training may be available. Speak to our team to find out more.
